In 2001 I went for a 'walkabout' in Australia and, on Christmas eve, everything I owned was robbed except my laptop and my tickets home. I lost everything but what I was writing, which was my first book and I came home a writer. I've been writing ever since. This is my little publishing company. I put out a small handful of products a year but I get to write about what I love to write about. The only reason the website has over 50 products is because, well, I've been doing this a long time.
Charke Publishing is my secret identity. It's my hobby. My day job is teaching swimming lessons. I've been doing that as long as I've been writing. I've been a fire fighter and a lifeguard and I worked in film for a bit, but teaching runs in the family and that's what I'm doing. You can see all my publications here: Publications.
